Gaza The Facts? January 2009

Gaza The Facts?

I notice that the UK media is more anti Israeli then other media. Moreover, the largest demonstrations took place in London.

One reason for the hostility is the fact that many Palestinian died and quite a few Israelis. The proportion is alarming. Indeed this proportion was raised time and again by Robert Fisk, recently, in his book, The great war of Civilization. Well, many more civilians in Germany were killed then American or Briton in WWI. Are we to conclude the Germany was the innocent side? Worst still? The number of Germans who died during WWII was many times double than Americans? Are we to conclude that the USA was the aggressor?

Before the commencement of hostilities by Israel, in one day there were 89[!] Katyushas and Scud missals rocketed against centers of Israeli cities [cities not “conquered” during the six days war], this after Israel vacated all disputed areas in the Gaza district. I do not recall any singer or comedians condemning Hamas. I do not remember an ex Mayor of London going hysterical against Gaza.

True, Israel is stronger,  more sophisticated then Hamas. So, is Israel not to uproot the problem just because Hamas is primitive? Would Mr. Livingstone act the same way if his brother lived in Leeds and he would have to go to a protected room twice or three times a day because terrorists rocketed his home?

Ken Livingstone

The choice is “Michevalistic”. The Palestinian in Gaza. He has to chose. Support Hamas and his shelling of Israel and be doomed with him or confront them and enable Gaza to become the most beautiful city in The Mediterranean. Israel has one aim, to protect it's citizens. Hamas has one aim. To kill as many Israelis as possible. They do not do a good job. We do.  And if we have to be condemned for it buy a comedian or a singer, so be it.

I do not want to see any Palestinian child hurt. Hams does. Otherwise they would not conceal missiles in houses they live in, in mosques they pray in or in Hospitals they are treated in. Hamas are “Barbarians at the Gate”. Many Arabs know so, [pay attention to the reaction of Egypt, Jordan or Saudi Arabia] many governments know so. Only English public opinion is led astray.
