A Mosque on Ground Zero?

When debating the issue of the mosque on “Ground Zero”, feelings, emotions, freedom of religion and democratic principles are all good reasons. There is one more issue to be considered. What is the message the enemy understands to have received. Does any member of a fanatic member of an Islamic group believe that the building of the mosque is a victory for religious tolerance, or one additional step in conquering the West? Unfortunately, 9/11 was initiated “in the name of” Islam. The majority of Islamites should be against the mosque for that reason. They should deliver a message that fanatic Islam would not achieve any aim. By building the mosque those fanatic think they won. And if theythink they won, the world lost. 9/11 is a historic monument of fanatic Islam. A mosque? I would assume something which grossly contradict fanaticism should be built there. A mosque on ground zero is such a devastating wrong message.
