New York Times - March 25th 2010

The US’s diplomatic 20th and 21st centuries history is “inflated” with failures [from the inability of Woodrow Wilson to join the league of Nations, the lost of Eastern Europe to the USSR following WW2, Vietnam, Korea, Cuba, Hungary [1956], Czechoslovakia [1967], Bin Laden, Iraq and Afghanistan. Indeed, president Eisenhower bullied England, France and Israel during the 1956 campaign against Egypt as he feared a conflict with the USSR, notwithstanding the fact that at the same time [just days away] The Warsaw Pact invaded Hungary. Notwithstanding Secretary Dallas promises to the Hungarian revolt, nothing – but nothing – was doen.

President Obama is bullying Netanyahu. The issue of building in Jerusalem is a symbol of hypocrisy by “ a fair broker”. The approval for building in Jerusalem causes the most severe crises between  US and Israel since the tenure of President Carter. Now, Palestinians built thousands [yes, thousands] of houses without obtaining licenses. Not a word to Abu Mazen, as the freezing of the status quo applies to Israel only. If only Israel is prohibited from building, but the Palestinians can, then Obama  and Secretary Clinton are not preparing for negotiations, they have concluded the negotiation by insisting at this stage that Israel freezes everything, not the Palestinians. Fair mediator? Why does the kiss to Sohara Araft come to mind?
