Hypocrisy is the name of the game - 07 August 2006

Hypocrisy is the name of the game.

Today Reuters admitted of publishing a “cooked” picture of Beirut in smoke, apologized and asked that the photos not be used any further. Too late. The disinformation was released and the correction will never undo the damage.

The independent newspaper – a very sensitive newspaper – called for donations to save the children of Lebanon. Naturally in the articles associated with this “promotion” not a word about the children being killed on the Israeli side of the battle [Jews and Arabs]. The only reason the number of civilians in Israel is somehow restricted is not because Hezbollah does not try, they simply do not do as good a job as they would wish to. They do try. When someone shoots over 170 missiles towards civilian enters, he wishes to see more than 10 dead a day. Alas, the hypocrisy of the Independent newspaper is blind. Indeed, it was Robert Fisk who first “proved” that Israel is the violent party vis-à-vis the Palestinians by comparing the number of Palestinians dead and the number of Israelis. This is an interesting criteria.  Well, during World War 2, there were over 400,000 English people who perished, but more than 4,000,000 German. Does the lack of proportion make England the violent side?

Reuters altered photo on the right, VS. the original photo on the left.

You all reported of 52 people buried under one house with 24 dead children. Someone simply doubled the number [the true number is more than tragic enough].

One day you will understand that Israel is fighting for the whole of western civilization. Don’t repeat Munich, you have to make sure we win. If we lose, you are next. You do not have to read this letter to know it. Just read and listen to what leaders of extreme Muslims say and write.

Hypocrisy will not help. On the contrary, it will hurt. First Israel, then the West.

Zalli Jaffe.
